  1. Who owns the Maui Banyan Resort?

Many people assume that the Maui Banyan Resort is owned by Aqua Aston as their name is often prominently displayed on marketing materials. However each unit within the Maui Banyan Resort propery is individually owned or is part of a time-share ownership group. While there is an AOAO (Associate Of Apartment Owners) group that functions within the Maui Banyan Property, no one entities owns all of the condo units within the property. The Maui Banyan Resort is zoned as a "Hotel" property and thus both short term (1 day or more) and long-term (permanent tentnats) rentals are available at the Maui Banyan. Currently less than 20% of the condo units are occupied on a full-time basis by permanent residents.

  1. Who manages the Maui Banyan Resort?

Aqua Aston has been hired by the Maui Banyan AOAO group to run the front desk and provide basic ammenities and check-in services. Aqua Aston provides property management services an handles the scheudling and guest needs for many of the condos within the Maui Banyan Resort complex. However, each condo owner is free to choose which property managment agency they wish to utilize for the rental of their condo - they may also choose to self-manage and will typically use AirBnb or VRBO to schedule and communicate with their guests. Some of the on island property managers who actively maintain units for rent at the Maui Banyan Resort include Sunny Maui Vacations, Vacasa, Rentals Maui, and CB Island Properties.

  1. Do I have to pay for parking at Maui Banyan?

As of early 2022 there is no parking fee currently at the Maui Banyan. However as paid parking has become more common place at many Maui and South Kihei Resort properties it is expected that the Maui Banyan Resort will implement a parking fee sometime in the future.

  1. Is there a Resort Fee at Maui Banyan?

As with the Parking Fee, the Maui Banyan currently does not have a Resort Fee as compared to neighboring properties such as Kihei Akahi : $25 Resort Fee and Kam-Sands (Kamaole Sands Resort) which charges over $50 for their resort fee. Like most resort properties in desireable locations, it is expected that the Maui Banyan will implement a guest Resort Fee in the near future.

  1. How many pools are there at the Maui Banyan?

The Maui Banyan Resort has two fabulous pool areas - one located at the rear of the property (upper pool) and one located near the front of the property (lower pool). Not only will you find upscale heated swimming pools, but also in-ground 8 person jacuzzi hottubs are also available. The pool decks both feature covered dining areas as well as lounge chairs and tables for relaxing by the water. The pool deck is plenty large to comfortably accomodate groups of up to 30 people. In addition there are 5 or more high end Weber Gas BBQ grills located at each of the pool areas for your meal prep convenience.

  1. Is there a Hot Tub / Jacuzzi / Sauna?

Yes, there is one 8 person in-ground HotTub / Jacuzzi pool located at each of the pool areas. Remember the pool areas are gated and locked for security for the benefit of current Maui Banyan occupants. The Maui Banyan does NOT allow for outside visitors to purchase day passes or use the pool facilities. To enter the pool area you will need a passcode as provided by the Aqua Aston Front Desk or by your Condo Property Management agency.

  1. Does the Maui Banyan Resort have tennis courts?

  1. Can I buy a condo at the Maui Banyan Resort?

Of course! Many people who come to the Maui Banyan Resort fall in love with the property and it's convenient location next to Kamaole Sands Beach Park II as well as many stores and resturants. The Maui Banyan Resort offers 1 Bedroom, 2 Bedroom (with Lock Off) and 3 Bedroom Condo configurations with 600 square feet all the way up to over 1000 square feet of living space.
